FOR COMFORT AND STRENGTH, CONFESS THESE AS OFTEN AS NECESSARY

I am increasing in the knowledge of God. I am strengthened with all might according to His glorious power. (Reference: Col. 1:10,11.)

I am a believer and these signs do follow me. In the name of Jesus, I cast out demons, I speak with new tongues, I lay hands on the sick and they do recover. (Reference: Mark 16:17, 18.)

Jesus gave me the authority to use His name. And that which I bind on earth is bound in heaven. And that which I loose on earth is loosed in heaven. Therefore, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I bind the principalities, the wpoers, the rulers of the darkness of this world. I vind and cast down spiritual wickedness in high places and render them harmless and ineffective against me, in the name of Jesus.\

JESUS SPOKE TO THINGS AND THEY OBEYED

You will notice that in Jesus' minsitry, He talked to trees. He talked to he wind. He talked to the sea. He talked to dead people. And they all obeyed Him. Inevery instance, He was calling for things that were not manifest.

When Lazarus came forth, I can see John nudging Peter and saying, "Hey, look, Peter! There is Lazarus standing in the door of the tomb!"

Then all embarrassment was gone. You may be embarrassed sometimes about some of the things you are saying, because it took so long for them to happen. But when you call the promise of God into manifestation in your life, all the embarrassment will leave.

HOW TO PRAY FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH

These are spiritual principles which have helped me grow. Let God guide you to apply these steps for your situation. Each idea begins with a letter that spells out "Now see God's will", because you can be sure that God hears your prayer and takes the best action on your behalf.

Name: Begin prayer by invoking God only in Jesus' name. For example, "Lord, Our Creator, Blessed is thy name, Omnipotent God, Honorable and Glorious, Beloved Jesus. We address thy name because we know you have the power and the love, and the mercy."

Offer thanks. "Thank you for answering my prayer about _________. Thank you for being there for me. Thank you that you always listen to me. Thank you for my home, my family, my education, thank you that you have given me kindness etc." Why does God ask us to be grateful? It will help your faith and you will think more positive. I have heard about people who were having a period of sadness who got out of it by writing letters of thanks to all the people who had been helpful to them in their lives.

Will: Put all you ask within the safe context of God's beneficial will for you. "God, I thank you because I know that you will answer my prayer giving me what I want or something better according to your wisdom. Let not my will be done but your will, oh God. May I desire only God's will for my life. Let me abide in thy will. Let thy Holy Spirit pray for me Lord, because I do not know best what to pray."

God answers all prayer and he knows how to give you good things. One time I wrote down all my petitions to God in a diary. I opened it six months later and every wish had come true except some I had changed my mind about. During the six months I had seen that some wishes were not that good for me. It will happen for you too. God promised to answer every prayer. Some prayers make take longer, but God gives a sure answer. Seek God's help. Ask God's help with everything. Make petitions: "Please give me and all my family health. Please help me economically, etc." Think of specific things: "Please heal my daughter. Please help her lose weight and to feel comfortable, not hungry, and have energy as she loses it." Tell God your problems. Speak to him as a friend that accepts you as you are.

Emotional: Ask for something to help you grow emotionally, we all need it. Many people pray only for others to be improved. But we are all imperfect and need to pray for our own emotional maturity.
"May your peace govern my heart. Please help me to meet my duties and responsibilities well. Please help me to be a better daughter/sister/father/mother etc. Please help me learn to get along better with ___________, to know what to say, when to say it, and what not to say."

"May my relationships please you. Lord, examine me and help me to know and overcome weak points. Help me to use the talents thou hast has given me to help myself and to help other people. Make me a happy person."

Expertise: Many times we need to ask God what he wants for us. We are always asking what we want of him. Sometimes God has blessings for us that we do not even know about. So we ask the Holy Spirit of God to pray for us in Jesus' name, because he knows what is best for us. He is our counselor

Growth: Request an experience that will help you grow spiritually: "Please help me to be enthusiastic about reading the Bible. Please help my life reflect Jesus. May I be worthy of the purpose God has made me for. May I come to know the purpose of my life and meet it well. May what I say and do please God."

Offer Praise. This step is empowering! For example: "God you are perfect, wonderful, great and caring. Blessed be thy name." God does not need our praise, but we praise anyway because praise is a form of communication to God.

If you love someone, you talk to them. They might know you love them, but they want you to tell them how much you love and appreciate them. Good relationships have plenty of communication. We need to praise God, to acknowledge all his love for us. It strengthens us. If you praise God while you are having problems, you have already won the battle.

Defend yourself: There is a Devil, an enemy of God who wants us to be sad, to sin, and to be sick. Do spiritual battle. "God, please take away from my life and from my family all that does not come from you. Please rebuke and tie up the enemy, make him leave our lives forever and fill us with thy Holy Spirit. Let thy spirit come upon me and my loved ones and use us for your purpose."

'Sit down and take your time. Jesus said that when you pray, do not make vain repetitions. Sometimes we pray quickly for something we want and ask for protection on the road and head out the door. If you rush in the morning, make time to pray in the after noon. If you are too sleepy to pray late, pray early. We think that we do not have time, but as Christians believe, so many problems can be fixed by prayer that we save time and heartache by prayer.

Word: Quote God's Word. God you said that everything we ask in your name, you shall give to us, "I believe, please help my faithï Thy word is like a double edged sword that cuts through problemsï." Read the Bible and attend a Bible based church to find out God's many promises to you. Then quote those passages in prayer. God's word is as good as a contract. With a contract, you read your rights and claim them because they are written down.

For example, if you have poverty, quote one of the many promises of restoration. "And he [Jesus] lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said "blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now for ye shall laugh" (Luke 6:20-21). Read the passage out loud and say, "God I pray these words and claim this promise in Jesus' name."

Invest in forgiveness, yours and others. First confess your sins, faults, or shortcomings and ask for forgiveness from God in Jesus' name. This is an investment for which you can expect to see dividends. When you admit a fault, it is the first step to changing it. When you tell that fault to God, you taking the second step, you are going to the one who has the power to change you.

The last step is God's- to make you into a better person. "Lord Jesus, thank-you for forgiving me by dying for me. I have ________ weakness. Please forgive me and help me with this. Keep me clear of temptation." We should all have a goal of confessing to let Jesus make us better.

Then you also forgive other people's sins and faults, this is important, it is spiritually healing. "God, ________ person is hurting or annoying to me, help me to have compassion for and forgive ______ person the way you forgive me, Lord". If you are hurt, God is your avenger. You do not have to be hurting and wanting revenge- that is too painful. Let it go and put it in God's hands.

List blessings. Make a list of blessings for yourself and others. Here are some general ones: protection, love, joy, happiness, material abundance, prosperity, guidance, spiritual growth, self-esteem, success, wisdom, health. You do not have to wait until there is a problem and then ask for help. Acknowledge the blessings you have already and ask him to keep blessing you and your loved ones.

Pray for other people: "God, bless me with all kinds of spiritual blessings and physical ones. Bless my family, co-workers, manager, customers, and suppliers." Even ask God to bless the people in your family that are hard to love, the difficult ones in your life, and your enemies. Instead of wishing your enemies pain, ask that for every hurt, you receive ten times the happiness or success you have now. Instead of wishing your enemy gets in trouble for foolishness, ask God to give them wisdom. This pleases God.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us....

As a born-again believer, you are stamped with the mark of the blessing because you are Abraham's seed. The anointing of God is upon you, and He favors you!

With favor comes insight, wisdom, revelation, and ideas. Joseph received superntaural revelation on how to manage and oversee the storage of grain. That was a major engineering feat. In the same way, the blessing of God will enable tou to recive insight for whatever area of life in which you are involved.

What God did for this young woman, He will do for you as you seek Him and realize that in Christ, you are Abraham's seed and an heir to all the promises of God.

BECOMING A SOLDIER OF CHRIST 2 TIMOTHY. 2:3-4

In the begining, man was created a perfect being (free from sin), but
due to the sin at the garden of Eden, the perfect man became imperfect
(conterminated). For this reason, God declared all man kind in Romans
3: 23 sinners and David echoed it in Psalm 51: 5.

However, God, in His effort to restore man back to his original state
(perfection) sent Christ Jesus His only begotten Son to die in our
place. In other words, what man lost through the first Adam God
restored back through the second Adam (Jesus), (John 3:16, 36).

Therefore, being born again means to be restored back to our original
state (2 Corrinthians 5:17) and to be enlisted in the army against
unrighteousness (Eph. 6:11-17).
Having fully armed us for battle, we are therefore released into the
battle field (world).

However, we must bear in mind that in every battle there will be
casualties, wounded soldiers, and survivors.

How to identify Casualties, they are:
1. Dead and lost in sin.
2. Prisoners of unrighteousness
3. Under the full control of their own flesh.

How to identify wounded soldiers:
1. Evil they don't wish to do is what they end up doing.
2. They don't give God their all.
3. Believers when among the believers and sinners when among sinners.
4. Neither hot or cold.
5. Haughts between two opinions.
6. UnGodly life style in the secret.
7. Tries to satisfy God and the world all at the same time.
8. Neither in or out of the church.


How to identify survivors (true soldiers):
1. Completely sold out to God.
2. Ready to pay any prize for the gospel, not counting the cost.
3. Righteous lifestyle both in secret and in the open.
4. Boldness, not ashamed of the gospel.
5. God first, every other thing is secondary in their life.
6. Love towards God and man.

A group of soldiers boarded a chopper heading for war, as they got to
the battle ground, the chopper dropped them leaving them behind. The
fist timers among them started shouting and crying as they watched the
chopper leave them (just as Jesus left us here to prepare a place for
us), but they suddenly realised that they have to use their weapon and
fight to stay alive (just as we have to use our spiritual weapon to
fight and stay alive).

Well, the chopper did came back and picked only those that remained
alive back to base. The same way, Jesus will come back some day for those
that remains alive in Him. What will be your condition when He comes
to take us back to base?

OUR BELIEFS

1. We believe that the Bible is the word of God (2Timothy 3:16).

2. We believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

3. We believe that Jesus is the son of God who came into this world in the flesh, died and rose again for the salvation of those that believes in Him (John 3:16).

4. We believe that Jesus is the one and the only way to God the Father, and not one of the ways (John 14:6).

5. We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit (John 16:5-15).

6. We believe in baptism by imarsion and in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, boldness etc. (Luke 3:16, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4)

7. We believe that everyone has a God given destiny he must discover and fulfill in this world to the glory of God (1Corinthians 7:7, Ephesians 4:7-8). 

8. We believe that the church of Christ is one though there are different denominations, which is why we work with all denomintions (Colossians 1:18).



 








 

OUR STORY

Before Destiny Achievers was established in 2004, the founder, Joseph Okeahialam had been running for years from God's call.

Being a successful international businessman, he never wanted anything to come between him and his business, so he remained defiant to the call.

This contention with God lasted for many years until God gave him "a final blow" that brought him to his knees just like Jonah. In the case of Jonah, it was the belly of a fish, but in his own case, it was the most notorious police jail after he was falsefully accused of a crime he never committed by his then business competitors who desperately wanted him out of business. However, this was actually God at work trying to take away what had been standing between him and His call.

Within two months of his detaintion under a severe physical torture, he surrendered to God's call and started his ministration in the police jail with over 400 inmates.

He actually started Destiny Achievers in this jail with God's given mandate to restore destinies.
Not quite long after he surrendered to the call of God, he was released and was cleared from all the charges against him. All the police officers and his business competitors were later arrested for unlawful arrest and detaintion.

In all these drama, the bottom line remains that God achieved what He wanted in the life of His servant, getting him into what he had been running away from.
Today, he is fulfilling God's calling over his life with great passion.

WORD FOR TODAY

"Doing First Thing First"

Make God all that you need, as you set out today, and every good thing you planned to chase after will begin to chase after you. 
The reason why we struggle and chase after things that should be chasing after us is because of our failure to do the first thing first. 
Think about it, and start doing the first thing first.
"But seek first His (God's) kingdom and His (God's) righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6: 33).

A WORD OF GOD FOR ENCOURAGEMENT

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

That word of God is for your encouragement, believe God without any doubt that He has answered all you have asked for. Don't give in to depression it's a sign of unbelief.

BEAUTY OUT OF UGLY SITUATIONS

Do you know Paul rejoiced in chains, David wrote psalms in the
wilderness, Paul & Silas sang songs of praise in jail, John saw heaven
in a lonely Island where he was left to die, JESUS prayed in the
garden of pain?

My friend, it doesn't matter what you are going through right now; the
pain, the sorrow, the missery etc. There's a good purpose that will
come out it, for "all things work together for good to them that love
God...." Put on love, joy and happiness as a garment, and the peace of
God that passes all understanding will keep your soul and mind.

Understand that you no longer have yesterday because it slipped away
as you slept, and you don't have tomorrow yet. This is the day the
Lord has made for you to live in, so be glad in it and rejoice, for
the joy of the Lord is the strength of everyone that put his or her
trust in the Lord. Amen

PRAYER POINTS

1. My heavenly Father I thank you for counting me worthy to go through
your fire.

2. Father, give me the same strength you gave to Joseph, David and
Daniel to pull through in this season of my life in Jesus name.

3. With all humility Lord, I ask that this fire will never be longer
than neccessory and that I will learn all that you are teaching me in
Jesus name.

4. Lord, everything I need to fulfill my destiny make them available
to me in Jesus name.

5. My heavenly father, in your miraculous way, settle all my debts and
make my joy complete in Jesus name.

6. Oh Lord, intervene in the issue of my accomodation, this is what is
still keeping me here in the hospital.

 7. Lord, raise divine helpers for me in Jesus name.
 8. Father, cause anyone that is working against me to work for my
interest in Jesus name.

 9. Lord, all I desire now is to be out of this hospital into my own
house in order to pursue my destiny without any interuption in Jesus
name.

10. Thank you Lord because I know you are perfecting everything for
good in Jesus name.
